I think that photographers who are willing to do shots out in the community tend to provide pictures that are twice as 'real' and nice as wal mart or whatever. However, they can get so insane! I think wal mart does better with family photos and real big kids than they do little kids. I've seen their photographers say to kids as young as 1 or 2 to "smile!" or "say cheese" when kids don't know how to do a "good" fake smile until probably 10-12. I don't want to pay for professional photos to get a 4 year olds ' say cheese!' face. lol.EmmysBoosAndRawrshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15986680997598706499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973070075913025664.post-3534679461061267722010-10-15T16:03:36.447-04:002010-10-15T16:03:36.447-04:00I've actually gone BOTH ways... and with twin ...I've actually gone BOTH ways... and with twin toddlers.. You can see an example of one of them on her blog header.

But as far as our annual Christmas photo cards, I do try to get a shot of all of us with one of our cameras. It doesn't look like we will be able to all be together this Thanksgiving to do that...

Blessings & Aloha!
I had yesterday and today off from work, so I hope to get caught up on some blog reading. I also wanted to let you know that one of your comments was drawn for one of the 20% certificate giveaways towards the art that I do. I...I actually do amateur/professional photography. I think that some of the prices are crazy. I try to take my kids in once a year to get the big package, but I make sure I have TONS of coupons and I usually use Target. The backdrops are the selling point for me, and they have a closed room with lots of props. Walmart is out in the open kids don't behave as well and they usually don't get down on the ground. I want a studio that has a camera that can move with my kid and get the candids as well as the well done poses.
I shoot pics of them all the time, but printing the sizes and quantity i need for family is easier once a year with a studio. BUT I'm not spending over $125 to get what I want. Out on location is great but with kids it's hit or miss, you've got to have patience in yourself and the parents.jennjennmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01413158956633581242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973070075913025664.post-50547592849269498552010-10-15T06:35:33.779-04:002010-10-15T06:35:33.779-04:00Oh man...I can't believe it's that time of...Oh man...I can't believe it's that time of year already!Liz Mayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13960276167677132860noreply@blogger.com
