My husband has red hair and is very fair skinned so my children will be fair skinned and will need to wear sunscreen. Is it worth the risk not to??? I don't think so and when a child can't make a choice, it's wrong not to help them.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15143572218544904176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973070075913025664.post-67113948355929942522010-06-26T13:35:36.873-04:002010-06-26T13:35:36.873-04:00I don't yet have kids, but I'm pretty bad ...I don't yet have kids, but I'm pretty bad about using it on myself. I know it's "bad" but I tan well, and have never been the type to burn easily, so usually I don't burn at all unless we go to the beach and are there all day or something. When I do burn its really low-key and is gone within a day or two and then is a tan, so I sometimes allow myself to suffer. haha.

However, I do notice people not using it on their children sometimes and it makes me feel bad for them. I read on a poster in my doctors office recently that kids are much more likely to get skin damage from a sunburn then adults. Not sure why that is, but it's scary.

My sister in law has a 3 year old, and his skin is VERY light, and he just kind of has "baby skin" still, if you know what I mean? She legally has to send him with his dad, but his dad lives at a campground so they are outside almost constantly and he comes back sunburned every weekend, even though she has bought him sunscreen just to keep at his place. So then he's cranky and uncomfortable for most of the rest of the week because he can't sleep well and stuff due to the sunburn. Idk. it's sad.EmmysBoosAndRawrshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15986680997598706499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973070075913025664.post-63699976815847799102010-06-26T12:06:46.485-04:002010-06-26T12:06:46.485-04:00I agree!
