The kids used foam paint brushes for their masterpieces (although some of the younger kids were content with just pouring all of it out at once). When they were done with their painting, they had fun at the water table, blowing bubbles, and sneaking inside our patient friends house. Thankfully, my kids are a bit older and I didn't need to chase them everywhere. And to our brave friend...Thanks for having us all over!

Fun With Sidewalk Paint!
Yesterday, a bunch of moms and I took our kiddos over to destroy decorate our friend's driveway. She actually invited us over to make our own sidewalk paint and a real big mess. I'm not sure if I could have been so brave, but we all had a lot of fun. To start our fun, the kids mixed 1/4 cup of cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water together. Once they had it all mixed together, we added some food coloring. It was that simple!

What a great idea for kids to do. Bet they loved doing that and I am sure it all washed off with the first rain. Great idea and what a nice friend.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and thanks for visiting our blog.
This is so much fun! I would love to have a season's pass you got for children's museums. I was planning to go to the one in Lynchburg, VA and didn't fit it in.
ReplyDeleteHow fun is that! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYes, when will my kids be old enough that I don't need to chase and count heads!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today! My girls loved sidewalk chalk. I did too - cause once it rained it was gone! I miss those days!
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! And it's a blessing it was at her house, not yours!
