Char Crust Review and Giveaway

Summer time is approaching and that means time for grilling. Whatever your favorite meal to prepare on the grill, you always need a good rub or marinade. That is where  Char Crust Dry Rub comes in.  They have something for everyone. Plus, you don't even have to wait to use it on the grill, you can bake or broil with it.

Here is a little background on Char Crust. It all started in 1957, at the legendary Chicago steakhouse, Al Farber's. Tilapia fillets -- about 6 oz per person
Char Crust® Amazin' Cajun Dry Rub Seasoning -- about 1/2 Tbsp per fillet
A little oil, canola is good
A little butter (optional), at room temperature
We actually prefer this recipe with catfish, but tilapia seems to have more fans.

Heat a cast iron pan on the stove until very hot. Season one side of the fish with Char Crust® Amazin' Cajun Dry Rub Seasoning, generously covering the surface. Drizzle a little oil all over the seasonings, using your fingers to rub in and distribute evenly. Seasonings will look moist and darken a bit. Place the fish, seasoned side down, into the pan. It should sizzle immediately, and you may get some smoke. Cook a few minutes until just cooked through. Transfer to plate with seasoned side up and place pat of butter on top.
Char Crust was kind enough to send me the samples to try. We decided to first try the All American BBQ on Chicken. Take a look at how the spices look in the package, (see picture below).  It tasted so good and was so easy to use.  Just cover the meat, use a little oil to keep the spices from burning and cook! It was bursting with flavor and left the chicken so moist on the inside.

 They are so simple to use, and when you are short on time, who doesn't love convenience and simplicity. Plus, they taste so good.
