Storytime For Me Review and Giveaway Opportunity For All

I am very excited to introduce you all to a great company I have just discovered, Story Time for Me.  Story Time for Me is an online library designed for young kids that include interactive children’s books.  These stories feature lovable characters, moving pictures, and fun music.  My girls have grown up loving children’s stories and they can’t get enough of Story Time for Me.   My oldest, who can read on her own, says she loves Story Time for Me because the narrator uses different voices for the characters.  She says it makes it more fun!  I love the fact that the words are highlighted on screen as they are read.  This helps my children follow along with the narrator and keep their place in the story.  I also love that you can turn the narrator off and the kids can practice reading it on their own.  And just to make sure your children are getting the most out of it, at the conclusion of the stories comprehension question can be answered.   Head over to Story Time for Me and check it out.  When you browse their stories, they allow you to preview them as well.  And don’t forget they will be adding new stories every month.

Thanks to the generous people at Story Time for Me, all of my readers have an opportunity to get a few of their very own children’s storybooks.   There are TWO different options for you.  The FIRST option you can earn 2 free storybooks of your choice from their website.    All you have to do is email Andrew Gitt (Andrew@storytimeforme.com)  stating that you want the 2 books.  You MUST following these simple instructions:

i.  In the subject line it should say 2 Books: Referred by Between the Lines
ii.      In the body of the email give your  first and last name,  email address, child’s first name and child’s birth date (if you have more than one child just  select the one you feel will be using it the most)
iii.      You will receive an email confirmation from info@StoryTimeForMe.com within 1 business day.  You may want to add that email to your address book and white-list it so you are sure to receive the email, but in case they don’t get it, make sure  to check your junk mail as sometimes it does end up there.

Your SECOND option has a little more work involved, but it earns you 10 free storybooks (retail of $24).  All you have to do here is visit www.StoryTimeForMe.com/10.doc, save the word document and fill it out.  As you can see from the form, you need to refer 10 ‘unique’ friends that have not yet registered at Story Time For Me.  For every friend that allows you to use their name as a referral, they also earn 2 free books for their child.  HOWEVER, you do need to actually contact your friends and ask if they want to participate.  It only counts if indeed they follow through with the email verification.  Moreover, Story Time For Me does not want to upset people by spamming them.  So please make sure your referrals actually want to participate in receiving 2 free books.   After you’ve completed the form, attach it to an email and send it to Andrew Gitt (Andrew@storytimeforme.com).

PlayStation 3 House Party!

Thanks to House Party and Playstation, my hubby and nephew were able to have the ultimate Playstation birthday party.  Here is the box of goodies they sent:

Pretty exciting, huh?!?  Everyone had so much fun trying out the new Playstation Move.  The motion controllers, individually calibrated for each person, made for such accurate game play.  House Party sent us The Eye Pet and Start the Party.  Although designed for the younger crowd, everyone wanted to have a turn.  We had so much fun that we went out and bought Sports Champion to add some extra fun to the party.
If you have a Playstation 3, I would definitely recommend these games.  Endless hours of fun and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy together.  A great twist to family game night!

God’s Word From A to Z: Review and Giveaway

Abe and Liza Philip are not only parents of two little children, but they are also the two hearts behind a wonderful scripture based CD called God’s Word From A to Z.   What started out as weekend project to help their kids have fun learning Bible verses, turned into a wonderful fun filled CD for us all to enjoy.   The music ranges from country, pop, jazz, classical, reggae, rock, Celtic and folk, but the lyrics are all verses straight from the Bible.  In between each of the songs, the Philip children recite the Bible verse that the song is based on.  It is too cute for words.  My girls love trying to recite the verses along with them.  What a great memory tool!

My kids (and I) love the catchy beats of the 26 songs.  We have the CD in our car and we have fun bopping along while singing great verses.  We all know it is easier to memorize things put to music , but it still amazes me that the kids have picked it up so quickly.  If you have young children, or are just looking for a great way to memorize some Bible verses, you should definitely check out God’s Word From A to Z.  This CD would make a perfect present for any household, youth group, or preschool class.  If you visit their website, they have a list of all the verses used on their CD.

Abe and Liza have generously offered one lucky reader from Between the Lines a chance to win their own copy of God’s Word From A to Z.

Busy Girls

It never fails to amaze me at how very busy my girls are.  With their huge imaginations, it is very difficult for them to sit still.  They can create a game out of anything they can find near them.  The funny part is, more often than not, they aren't even playing with actual toys.  Last week, my youngest spent over 30 minutes just pouring beads from one cup to another.  The whole time she was singing happily like this was the best game in the world.  Yesterday, both girls played with a hula hoop and two chairs for an hour.  They pretended they were driving a car, riding on rides at Disney, and joining the circus.  What creative games to your kids play?  Grab a latte, put up your feet, and join the discussion!

The Soy Box Review and Giveaway

Who doesn’t love the smell of a fresh candle burning?  I know I do.  I love candles that make my house smell as though I’ve been baking all day or ones that smell good enough to eat.  The hand-poured soy candles from The Soy Box can do both.  Whether you’re melting yummy Cinnamon Bun tarts or burning a sugary sweet Candy Corn Candle, your house will smell divine!

A little about The Soy Box:

The Soy Box is a small family owned business. We started making candles in our kitchen. We love coming up with new products so you will often see something new every time you visit us. All our candles are scented to the max! We use the maximum fragrance load that the wax will hold. You will get a yummy smelling candle every time! Here at The Soy Box our wax is made with pure, 100% natural soybeans. All of our candles are handcrafted and individually handpoured. Our wicks are lead free. We have tested each and every one of our candles that we offer to ensure our candles offer you the best appearance, burn time and scent throw possible.

The Soy Box offers a great variety in candle scents and types.  They offer tarts, pillars, jars, and mugs.  They also offer candle accessories and other country décor that would make a perfect addition to any household.  The generous people from The Soy Box sent me a few fun items to review.  The first, and my kids’ favorite, was a Candy Corn candle in a small mason jar.  The 8 oz mason jar was filled to resemble a candy corn in look and scent.  It was complimented with a cute orange bow around the top.  We have already burned it for about 6 hours total and the scent is still strong and the candle continues to burn evenly.    The next item I reviewed were Mini Cinnamon Bun Melts.    I love cinnamon buns, but try to stay clear of baking them.  So it was wonderful to enjoy the smell as these 2 oz tarts melted.   The third item I reviewed were small tarts that smelled like fresh Amish Bread baking in the oven.  For those of you who know how much I love to bake, you know I was loving these tarts!    The Soy Box offers so many fabulous scents.  You can check them all out HERE.
