Grandparents on the Move

Much to my in-laws excitement, they have finally retired (sort of). They have lived in the same house for over 20 years and have many close, life-long friends. They have also lived close enough for the kiddos to see them once or twice a month. But just a few short weeks back, they finally made the move to their new home in North Carolina. Their new house is in a gated community and is absolutely beautiful. I am so excited that they are getting their dream home, but sad that the kids won’t get to see them as often. I don’t think the girls have noticed yet, but they questions will start soon. I am so thankful for technology, like Skype, that will allow us to keep in touch. What ways do you keep in touch with your love ones? I need all the ideas I can get!!! Grab a latte, put up your feet and join the discussion!

Awww... we LOVE North Carolina too. Sorry they've moved so far from home though. I also live across country from my mom, dad, sisters, brothers, best friends, etc. and the only thing we really do is stay in touch via cellphone every.single.day. However, now that I have the new iphone4 I can actually skype and see them from my phone instantly so I look forward to trying that soon too. Good luck! :o)

I tend to do the phone calls and email thing, but Skype is such a great idea.

Skype is a cool idea. Never tried it though, but it looks neat. Of course a blog is a great way to keep the family up to date on the kiddos!!!
