Frankenweenie Update!

If you read Wednesday's post, you heard that Tim Burton new movie Frankenweenie is coming out in October?   This new Walt Disney movie will hit the theaters October 5th!  And now I have the new trailer for you to catch a sneak peak.

"From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience."

Brave

Have you heard of Disney/Pixar's new film Brave?  We have just seen the new trailer and my kids are already asking to head to the theaters.  Unfortunately, they will have to wait a few months.   Brave hits theaters June 22!

Synopsis:
"Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts."

My friend Jasey over at Jasey's Crazy Daisy always comes up with the most delicious desserts.  I am often thankful and sad that I don't live closer to her.   I imagine if I did, I would get the joy of eating her wonderful creations, but my thighs would hate me even more than they already do.  In honor of celebrating her two year blog anniversary, she has the most amazing recipe waiting for you.   Trust me...you want to check out her YUMMY Coconut Pineapple Cake.

Open Discussion: Oscars 2012

Did anyone out there watch the Oscars last night?  What did you think?  Did Billy Crystal impress you?  Definitely much better than James Franco last year.  What was your favorite part of the show?  My was definitely when Cirque Du Soleil came out to preform.  The cast performed amazing stunts and trick.  Some seemed nearly impossible, yet they performed them so effortlessly.  They were just breathtaking!  What is your take?  Grab a Latte, Put up Your Feet, and Join the Discussion!
