I know some of you right now are saying, “What is ShaToBu”?
ShaToBu is simply, the workout you wear. How many of us don’t have a little bulge here or there that we liked to hide (or just get rid of)? I know my stubborn sides could desperately use some work. The ShaToBu shapewear claims to slim your figure, while toning muscles and burning calories. With these fabulous claims, you know I had to check it out for myself.
Here’s what the company says about their product:
ShāToBu™ is the Workout You Wear
Independent scientific studies from the University of Virginia show that women who wear ShaToBu during daily activities burn UP TO 12% MORE calories during daily activities like walking or climbing stairs.
With the modern woman's hectic schedule it can be hard to find time to get to the gym, but with ShaToBu, women can fit a workout into their daily routine while enjoying a more shapely silhouette!
How DOES ShāToBu™ Work?
ShaToBu is based on the principle of resistance training. This simple, ingenious technology uses seamless resistance bands to make muscles work a little harder during natural movement, like walking or climbing stairs, while remaining comfortable underneath your clothes.
Non-binding, stay-in-place waist and leg bands prevent marking, bulging and rolling.
ShaToBu is made of Nylon and Lycra with overall moisture-wicking properties, and a cotton CoolMax gusset, to keep you cool and comfortable.
Easy enough to wear every day (and even replace underwear), ShaToBu offers a smooth route to a better-looking you!
ShaToBu offers five different styles of Shapewear. I chose to review the High Waist to Knee, which retails for $58. You can find the other styles
HERE. My first thought when I opened the package was, “How in the world am I going to get that thing on?!?” But of course, then I realized it had to be tight in order for it to do its job. Once I got it on, it took me awhile to get use to the feel, but then I forgot I was wearing it. My ShaToBu never slips during the day. It stays exactly where you put it. I love that I can now wear a fitted shirt without belly rolls showing. I also am more conscious of what I’m eating. When your stomach has nowhere to go, you won’t be eating as much either. So not only am I burning 12% more calories that I would without the garment, I am also encouraged to eat less throughout the day. I may be ready for this marathon after all!
