A Huge Online Event Starts Tomorrow!

Relay For Life Sponsor: Personalized Sketches

Maria has graciously donated a 8x10 Monogram to our Relay For Life Auction.   Relay For Life is a very important cause to her and her family. Not only did several family members on her husband lose their brave battle to this horrific disease, but her son (at the age of 14) was diagnosed with Burkitt's-like B Cell Lymphoma. Thankfully with the help of a trial protocol, provided through Cancer research, her son was back on his feet and back on track when his sophomore year of high school began.  Without this newest research, her son would have had to undergo 2 years of chemotherapy, rather than the intense 5 months.  Despite this intense protocol, he remained "very involved in school, church and cancer support events... and complete high school with his peers, finishing in the top 5% of his class with his IQ testing 135+ and ACT score of 33. It took about a year to regain his full stamina, but he did and was on high school varsity soccer, wrestling and lacrosse. I say all this to say that in spite of that challenging part of his life, we are blessed and give God the glory for these accomplishments."
