Really?!?

Take a minute and look at my picture under the about me section....  Did you see it?  Do you notice the dark brown hair on my head?  Typically, hair color is the first thing that you notice about a person.  Well today I made a brave, but miscalculated choice.  I attempted to have red highlights put in my hair to  cancel out the gray.  When you have dark brown hair, the gray really pops out at you.  Unfortunately, I didn't get red highlights.  I got a full head of orange hair.  Dirty orange, like a carrot that just got pulled out of the ground.  Yuck, I know.  So I'm feeling sick to my stomach about it, even go to my friend's house across the street to see if it is ok to color it again the same day.  But when my hubby gets home from work, he says nothing.  My sister and I leave hints all over the place and he still doesn't notice my hair.  I'm not sure if I should be happy that it may not be as bad as I thought, or sad that he hasn't notice that my hair is orange.  I love the man to death, but he certainly isn't the most observant one.  If he hasn't noticed by tomorrow night, I'll let him know, but REALLY?!?!

I can't see the pic you are talking about. There is just the one of your family. But I can't imagine having my hair turn orange and my husband (if I had one) not noticing. Men can be so out of it. Do you think he is abiding by the "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" rule? If not, beats me.

Maybe he's just being nice. My husband would be like, "What the hell did you do to your hair?" Be grateful. :o)

About a week before our daughter got married, I had my hair colored...and it turned out ORANGE, too!!! I was soooo sick...and I was driving home...sick to my stomch...and I turned around and went straight back to the shop and told her she would have to do something about it...and she did. But..to make a long story short...I have a husband who notices NOTHING, too!!! Love their hearts!

I am so sorry about your hair. I hope you can fix it. I would definately cry. I can't believe your husband didn't notice!

I am wondering if he's being nice? Or if he thinks you may love it and he won't want to hurt your feelings, lol!

Either that or he's just like my husband, ha!

You ladies are all so sweet. I've washed it 3 times already to try to lighten it up. I'll be getting it fixed within the week! :) Just hair right? ;)

My nephew who is 14 always notices things about my hair. Considering he doesn't know how to censor himself yet this is both bad and good.
It is just hair and now you can say you had orange hair once...;o)

I can make you feel better: Ready?

ok - I just graduated High school as a bleached blonde. decided at midnight the night before going on vacation to dye my hair back to its original color for summer and college. Get the dye, do not pay attention to the type (i got an ash based dye- who knew it mattered), go home and dye it. It turns gray, like 70 year old lady gray. My brother called me Morticia. I had to go to the beach with my family with GRAY HAIR for a week. Seriously, this happened, but it gets better. We came home on Sunday night, late. Monday am I had to be at college for orientation. My very first college ID I have GRAY HAIR! OH MY LORD.

Thankfully after the longest 10 days of my life I got it fixed. Haha! I quit dying my hair by myself after that!

You hair can be fixed! Never fear!!

My friend in HS came over to my house to find something to "match" her hair when this happened...I am thinking orange is the new black? ;)

Men can be utterly oblivious! Remember -- if they can't find something in the refrigerator that is RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, such that they always have to call out and ask for directions, why should they notice orange hair???

Aww! Sorry about your hair! Maybe he just doesn't know what to say?? Mine would just laugh, and then torment me the rest of the evening, I'm sure! LOL

Angela - I'm so sorry that happened. That must have sucked!

And my sister finally told him and he still didn't believe us until he took me into the proper lighting. "Wow, it really is orange." :) Got to love that he loves me for me and not my hair! :)
