Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Last week both of my girls took field trips to local pumpkin patches.   Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend with my 1st grader so I don't really know many details.  She said it was fun, she bit into an apple with a bug in it, and she fed a goat. I would have really loved to have joined her, but at least she had fun.  I was able to go with my preschooler and we had a great time.

We met up with her class and looked around at the animals, ran through the hay bale maze, and played in a silo filled with dry corn kernels.  After playing for a bit, we all squeezed on to a tractor like a herd of cattle (literally), and took a ride around the farm and out into the pumpkin patch. The kids loved the ride and enjoyed pointing out the apple trees and corn stalks.

After we got to the pumpkin patch, the kids ran around looking for their perfect pumpkin.  And each pumpkin was the favorite until they stumbled across the next one.  Then that one was their favorite.  Once they were all satisfied with their choices, they picked an apple and hopped back on to the tractor.  They enjoyed their ride back and were ready to play some more!  Have your kids enjoyed the pumpkin patch this year?  Grab a latte, put up your feet, and join the discussion!
