God’s Word From A to Z: Review and Giveaway

Abe and Liza Philip are not only parents of two little children, but they are also the two hearts behind a wonderful scripture based CD called God’s Word From A to Z.   What started out as weekend project to help their kids have fun learning Bible verses, turned into a wonderful fun filled CD for us all to enjoy.   The music ranges from country, pop, jazz, classical, reggae, rock, Celtic and folk, but the lyrics are all verses straight from the Bible.  In between each of the songs, the Philip children recite the Bible verse that the song is based on.  It is too cute for words.  My girls love trying to recite the verses along with them.  What a great memory tool!

My kids (and I) love the catchy beats of the 26 songs.  We have the CD in our car and we have fun bopping along while singing great verses.  We all know it is easier to memorize things put to music , but it still amazes me that the kids have picked it up so quickly.  If you have young children, or are just looking for a great way to memorize some Bible verses, you should definitely check out God’s Word From A to Z.  This CD would make a perfect present for any household, youth group, or preschool class.  If you visit their website, they have a list of all the verses used on their CD.

Busy Girls

It never fails to amaze me at how very busy my girls are.  With their huge imaginations, it is very difficult for them to sit still.  They can create a game out of anything they can find near them.  The funny part is, more often than not, they aren't even playing with actual toys.  Last week, my youngest spent over 30 minutes just pouring beads from one cup to another.  The whole time she was singing happily like this was the best game in the world.  Yesterday, both girls played with a hula hoop and two chairs for an hour.  They pretended they were driving a car, riding on rides at Disney, and joining the circus.  What creative games to your kids play?  Grab a latte, put up your feet, and join the discussion!
