Yesterday, my little first grader was able to meet her new teacher. She was excited to see her first desk and her new friends. Although I've heard nothing about her new teacher, she seemed very organized and very friendly. I'm praying that these to traits will help make for a good year. I cannot believe that today is our last day of summer. The last day I get to spend the entire day with her until next summer. (sniff, sniff) Here's hoping to a fun year of learning, exploration, and friendship!

Oh how sweet. Heres to a great year..
I have a fun tag on my blog if you want to stop by and join in. It may cheer you up...
So cute...and such and exciting day! Thanks for the comment. I love my son's teacher this year. She said there has never been so many students that did not know cursive. I really did not want to write that though, just in case my sons last year teacher came on my blog. I am by no means bagging on him, however, I was surprised my boy did not really have a clue.
You'll get to have weekends, holidays, and vacations between now and summer break. She'll do great and so will you.
I really hope she has a perfectly wonderful year!
I hope she enjoys 1st grade! It's an exciting time
Such an exciting time for her, wishing her a successful school year!
I know you'll miss her, but on the first rainy day when you have the house to yourself, relish in the silence. Read a good book, or a guilty pleasure tabloid, put your feet up, write in your journal, just make you sure you take one day that week she goes to school and just 'be' for a moment!
Best of luck to you and your kiddies for this school year. Having an awesome teacher really makes the experience so much better. I hope your daughter's teacher remains friendly and organized. :)
We always tell our daughters we hope they get Mrs. Meany-Pants. They get a little scared, and we are kidding, but we like a strict teacher...young teachers that let their class run amok hasn't ever worked very well for us.
I hope your daughter didn't get Mrs. Meany-Pants
