Issues With Ebay

About three weeks prior to Christmas, I ordered my niece a present off Ebay and received a confirmation that it would be delivered between Dec. 22 - 29.  When I first received this confirmation I was a little upset because this was the one thing she asked for and I wanted her to be able to have it for Christmas.  But then I figured, if it didn't arrive, I just just print her a picture of what it was and deliver it to her a few days late.  She's almost 10 and a very patient and grateful person.   So I knew it wouldn't be a problem (and it wasn't).   But now that December 29 has come and gone, how long do I wait before I make an inquiry about it?  And if I did want to find out about it, does anyone know how I go about doing that??  Anyone else order Christmas gifts that haven't arrived?

Isn't there a way to contact the seller by email through ebay? It's been a long time since I've used them but it seems like you could message back and forth.

go into your ebay where you won the item and click on it, then it will bring up the info and you will click on view order details. If there is a tracking number you will find it there or else you can contact the seller from that page. Hope this helps.

Did the seller send you a delivery confirmation or tracking number? If not, I'd send a message to the seller asking for proof of shipment. If they don't respond in a timely manner, open up a complaint with PayPal. That will usually get a seller's attention and this way you're more protected in case something happens. Good luck!

Go back to the auction that you won. You can contact the seller from there. Inquire about the status of the shipment. If you paid expedited shipping fees, I would definately ask for a reimbursement. If the Seller doesn't respond or if the response is unsatisfactory, you can open up a claim through eBay.

So sorry about the gift not arriving.

Yes, all you have to do is hit Contact the seller after you open the "purchase" of your item. From there you will choose a category, and of course you would choose "where is my item". Then you will be given a field to type a message in. I hope it arrives soon, I use ebay and sell on ebay all of the time and rarely have a problem. Good Luck!

We are sellers on Ebay and buyers. I had the same problem. Bought some bedding on the 18th...it just came in today. There is no excuse. Even with holidays...if I know in advance that there will be a problem with shipping or a delay, I usually will contact the buyer and let them know in advance so they can either cancel their order or just wait for it. I'd rather do that than issue refund for shipping. And if they haven't, contact them and ask them what is going on. If you don't hear anything within a day...go through Ebay. You should at least be refunded shipping for their delay. Good luck!

I think you should try contacting the seller via email on eBay. If you don't hear back from the seller within 3 days I'd file an undelivered item claim to try to get your money back.

As long as your item delivery confirmation number doesn't state the item has been delivered then you have a better chance of getting your money back from PayPal

Good Luck! :)
