Recipe Corner: Brigadeiro

Brigadeiro is a candy often eaten in Brazil.   Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law, we now have a new delicious recipe to try.   I haven't made it myself yet, but I have eaten the end result.  Definitely worth a try. Thanks Camila!

Ingredients:

• 1 can of condensed milk
• 2-3 Tablespoons of chocolate powder or chocolate syrup
• 2 Tablespoons of butter
• Chocolate sprinkles
• Tiny paper candy cups

Directions:
• Combine ingredients in a pot and stir constantly over medium heat, bringing to a boil.
• Continue stirring about two mintutes - or until mixture thickens enough to coat the bottom of the pan.
• Remove from heat and carefully scoop hot mixture out of pot into a separate bowl to cool.
• Cool completely.
• Coat hands with butter and scoop out a teaspoon sized amount into the palm of your hand. Roll into a small ball, roll the ball in sprinkles and let rest in paper cup.

Oh I once was in Rio and they gave me these! I had NO idea they were so easy to make so I am going off to find some sprinkles. I wonder, is cocoa powder the same as chocolate powder?

@Jacqueline ~ I'm not sure, is the chocolate powder used to make Hot Chocolate?
