North Carolina Vacation: Day One

Yesterday was our first day of vacation in North Carolina. The girls and I had a great time with my mother-in-law, while my husband and his Dad went golfing. Our adventure started with a short 20 minutes ride to the ocean. From there, we took a ferry to Fort Fisher. The girls had a blast riding the ferry. They loved the feel of the wind in their face and the water splashing their legs.

After the ferry ride, we went to explore the Fort Fisher Aquarium.  They made friends with a quail and an alligator.  They played hide and seek with some seahorses.  And they tried to tickle some horseshoe crabs.

All in all....A great first day!

So, so fun, and I don't even wanna know if you're in my part of the state because it will kill me that we didn't get to meet if you were!

I'll be making a quick trip to Wilmington at the end of the month. Hoping we'll be able to squeeze in some fun like you're having!
